Writing as Exploration: A Progress Report
This year, January went fast, my honeymoon concluded, and February arrived with surprising swiftness as well. While it didn’t bring much time to settle in, it did however inspire a renewed passion for writing.
After dedicating more than 12 years to Web Development, I knew something else was needed. Even though my focus was mostly on frontend, over the past few years, I’ve taken breaks to explore and evolve in different aspects of the field. Delving into server-side development, architecture, and UX design.
But this time felt different. I felt the need to take a full break from Web Developoment and pivot into cybersecurity.
During this journey, my old passion resurfaced: writing. At first, I used it purely as a means to understand the field better. But now it caught on like a virus. And if too much time passes, I feel an need to write, even though it’s mostly on the technical side.

When a new subject captures my interest, I love to dive in deep. Cybersecurity has proven no exception.
Aldo isn’t unfamiliar territory, having for a long time, a youthful fascination with computer viruses.
Since February, I’ve committed to at least an hour daily to explore this field—reading, learning, and of course, writing.
The content I consume and create is diverse—timely news, alerts, and vulnerability reports are staples. But I also take the time to write about cybersecurity basics, diving deeper into the insights of various threats and the tools that emerge to combat them. Each piece I write helps solidify my understanding and fuels my growing passion for this field.
